Abstracts are submitted online. Authors need to register with the conference prior to submitting.

 

The title, but no information about contributors, should be provided at the beginning of the text, preceding the abstract. The name of the abstract file should not contain any information about the authors.

 

 

Poster presentation guidelines

 

The posters must be printed in B1 format (707 × 1000 mm) and should not go beyond the proposed dimensions.

 

The posters may also be designed in the MS PowerPoint pptx format (up to 12 slides) as well as in MP4 format.

 

 

Guidelines for Contributors

 

Educational issues publishes theoretical, empirical, and methodological articles in scientific disciplines related to the field of education.

The editorial board accepts for consideration only those articles that have not been published previously or that are not under consideration at another journal. Articles are published in either the Croatian or English language. Articles are accepted for publication after two positive blind peer reviews. The authors reserve copyright for articles published in the journal but, by giving consent for publication, they delegate the right of first publication in print and in electronic format to the journal. The editorial board delegates the right to adapt manuscripts to the standards of the journal and to the standards of the Croatian, namely English language.

 

Articles, written with the line spacing 1,5 (font Times New Roman, font size 12, justified alignment, margins 2 cm), should be sent to casopis@ufri.uniri.hr. Please write ESSCCO in the subject area of the email.

 

  1. The preferred length of the articles (including the abstract, notes, references, and graphs and tables) is below 7000 words. The text of the scientific article in general consists of the following parts: Introduction, Methodology, Results, Discussion and Conclusion. The beginning of each paragraph should be indented (1,25 cm).
  2. The first page of the article has to contain the name(s) of the author(s), name and address of the institution they are related to (or their home address), as well as the e-mail address.
  3. Articles should be accompanied by an abstract of a maximum 200 words in both the Croatian and English languages, which should contain a general presentation of the subject, the methods implemented, the main results and the conclusion(s). Up to five keywords have to be included as well.
  4. Graphical appendices (tables, graph, pictures and similar) should be in black and white and in Word and should be enclosed within the text of the article in places which they occupy. The titles of tables, graphs and pictures should be above tables and start with a mark and enumeration, for example Table 1. The title of the table; Picture1 The title of the picture, and should be written in font Times New Roman, font size 10, bold. In case the author has borrowed from another source, s(he) should make sure s(he) has the permission.
  5. Other authors’ phrases, ideas, data and similar pieces should be referenced in the text, not in the footnotes. The source is placed in the parenthesis that contains the last name of the author(s), year of publication, and, in cases of direct citations, the page number; e.g. (Surname, year), and (Surname 1, Surname 2, year, page number). References to works with four or more authors should use the “et al.” form; e.g. (Surname 1. author’s and other, year). Notations such as “ibid.”, “op. cit.” and other such similar forms should not be used.
  6. Notes (footnotes), which are used for additional explanation, comments or digressions, are written at the bottom of each page (font Times New Roman, font size 10).
  7. The reference list should contain all the works referred to in the text listed in alphabetical order according to the last names of the authors and in chronological order for works from the same author(s). References to more than one work by the same author(s) in the same year should be distinguished by letters (a, b, c, etc.) following the year of publication. Coauthored works should be referenced in full form with the last and first names of all authors. In addition to the standard bibliographical information, works that are available online should also include the Internet source (http://) and date of download. The DOI should be added after those bibliographic units that have one.
